Featuring
Hosted by Danny Dechi — Comedian and world’s only pencil musician. Website
Danny Dechi’s stand-up comedy has been described as “Woody Allen doing vaudeville”. He’s organizing and hosting a number of local comedy rooms, running a weekly podcast comedy talk show, and performs comedy all over the Bay Area, including TV and the 27th Annual Comedy Day in San Francisco in 2011.
Fred Anderson — The world’s only near sighted comic/magician/juggler/escape-artist & tightrope walker. Website
Fred’s performances have taken him around the world several times over including 2 World Expos, The Edinburgh Festival Fringe (5 times), Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts & The Montreal Just For Laughs Festival.
Rasa Vitalia — Dance Artist. Website
Rasa Vitalia is an international professional performance dance artist and choreographer, putting her artistic creativity and flair in her dance performance. Among her many accomplishments is the title of the ‘Performance Artist of the Year 2012-2013.’
Michael Meehan — Comedian and actor. Website
Michael Meehan’s surreal outlook, smarty-pants allusions and quick wit have been seen on The Late Late Show and Last Comic Standing.
Lynn Ruth Miller — Comedian and author
Review from the Edinburgh Festival Fringe: “She is a stand-and-deliver American comic in the good old-fashioned mold of Joan Rivers and Phyllis Diller.
Possibly the most memorable show I’ve seen so far, the combined age of her entire audience added up to only a little more than that of the performer. But we were all laughing. Tiger Woods, pearl necklaces, Facebook, breasts, G-spots, and why she’d be a lousy lesbian aren’t what you might expect from a 77-year-old. But Lynn Ruth is 77 going on 17.”
DJ Real — Musical comedy and performance art. Website
DJ Real writes and performs songs about things like evil paper bags, blankets and thievery. He also makes videos.
The Devil-Ettes — Go-Go Troupe Website
In addition to numerous performances in their hometown of San Francisco, the girls’ fancy footwork has taken them to Las Vegas, New Orleans, Los Angeles and beyond! They were featured in Atomic magazine, GQ-Spain, The UTNE Reader, The Spectator, Dance Magazine, Hustler, British scene magazine, The Face, and a huge SIX-page spread in Deutsches Glamour (that’s Glamour Magazine’s German edition!). Local publications include the cover of the San Francisco Independent, a recent cover feature in the 96 Hour section of The San Francisco Chronicle, The SF Bay Guardian, The SF Weekly (VOTED Best Garage Rock Dance Troupe 2000), The San Francisco Examiner plus many more. They also have been spotlighted on NPR, Much Music (Canadian’s MTV) and twice on Britain’s BBC, including the popular show Roadside U.S.A.
and
The Groovy Judy Band! Flower Power funk-rock with a positive groove. Website
Groovy Judy puts a new face on the late 60’s, early 70’s sound that made the Bay Area what it is. From the songwriting influences of Sly and The Family Stone, Jimi Hendrix, to touches of the melodic Beatles sound, San Francisco’s own brings forth her dominating style with the energy of some of today’s most known artists. A featured artist at She Rocks San Francisco Music Festival 2005, a finalist at the Emergenza Music Festival 2006, and a featured artist at the 2007 40th Anniversary of the Summer of Love Festival in Monterey.
